The Town Mayor for 2010-2011 is Cllr Margareta Holmstedt, who was elected in May 2010.

Her charity for the year is Todmorden Youth Caravan and other local Todmorden youth initiatives

The Mayoress for 2010-2011 is    Cllr Dorothy Jordan.

The role of the Mayor includes:
  • acting as an ambassador for the town
  • promoting the town regionally and internationally
  • fostering good working relationships with local industry and business
  • supporting local charities and community groups
  • chairing council meetings
    receiving regional and international visitors
  • representing the town at civic functions and engagements
The Deputy Mayor for 2010-2011 is Cllr Richard White, who was elected in May 2010

Role of the Deputy Mayor
The Deputy Mayor assists the Town Mayor by undertaking the Mayor's functions should he or she be unavailable.

In the following year it is the tradition for the Deputy Mayor to be elected Mayor

The Deputy Mayoress for 2010-2011 is Rev. Sandy White.
